Turner 250 X Rail 200

Celebrating 250 years since the birth of JMW Turner and 200 years since the creation of the modern railway, Turner 250 X Rail 200 is offering free train travel and a free educational resource for children aged 12 and under, designed to connect their journey from the train station to the gallery.

The resource shares creative ways young visitors can engage with their environment, specifically at Margate train station and with the JMW Turner painting at the gallery.

There’s also the opportunity for young people to have their artwork displayed at Margate train Station as part of the Turner 250 X Rail 200 celebrations. We will be continuing to accept submissions until March 2026.
